Google’s Gemini Reaches 750M Users as AI Chatbots Explode in Popularity
Google’s AI chatbot Gemini has hit a major milestone. The company says more than 750 million people now use Gemini every month, showing how fast it is catching on with everyday users.
Not long ago, Gemini had around 650 million monthly users. Adding another 100 million in such a short time says a lot about how quickly people are adopting the tool. More users are turning to Gemini for writing help, quick answers, schoolwork, coding, and everyday questions.
Gemini Is Gaining Ground in the AI Race
The AI chatbot space is crowded, but Gemini is clearly finding its place.
Meta has shared that Meta AI is nearing 500 million monthly users. Meanwhile, OpenAI’s ChatGPT is estimated to have about 810 million monthly users.
ChatGPT still leads the pack, but Gemini is not far behind. And with its current growth pace, that gap could shrink even more.

Gemini 3 Is a Big Reason for the Growth
A lot of this momentum comes from the release of Gemini 3, Google’s newest and most capable model so far. Google says it produces more detailed and thoughtful responses than earlier versions.
Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, recently said that Gemini 3 has been a “positive driver” for growth. He also noted that Google’s own AI models now handle over 10 billion tokens per minute through direct API use.
In simple terms, that means a massive amount of text and data is moving through Gemini every minute.
Lower Pricing Could Bring in More Users
Google has also rolled out a cheaper subscription called Google AI Plus, which costs $7.99 per month. It is aimed at people who want extra features but do not want to pay premium prices.
The plan launched too late to affect current earnings, but it could help push Gemini’s user numbers even higher in the coming months. Google still offers a free version as well, which keeps the tool open to anyone who wants to try it.
AI Is Becoming a Core Part of Google’s Business
Gemini’s success is part of a larger trend inside Google’s parent company, Alphabet. Alphabet recently crossed $400 billion in yearly revenue for the first time.
Google says much of that growth is coming from AI-related products and services. The company has also introduced a new AI chip called Ironwood, built to compete with Nvidia’s hardware.
Where Gemini Goes From Here
With hundreds of millions of people already using Gemini, Google is clearly betting big on its future.
As the models improve and more features roll out, Gemini will likely become a regular tool for work, school, and everyday tasks. AI is no longer a distant idea. It is already part of daily life, and Gemini is quickly becoming one of the tools people rely on most.
